Anyone aware if there are any differences between the disk and cd versions of Kyrandia 1 and 2? I know the 3rd game on cd was talkie... I don't know if there was actually a disk version of 3 or not...
Anyways, Ive got the disk versions currently but I'm interested in picking up the cd versions if there is a difference.

Re: Kyrandia CD vs Disk versions
I don't have the floppy versions myself, but the CD versions of Kyrandia 1 and 2 have speech. I assume that's a difference.exofreeze wrote:Anyone aware if there are any differences between the disk and cd versions of Kyrandia 1 and 2? I know the 3rd game on cd was talkie... geez, I could pretend to do work on it, then get told all my work is rubbish which would probably provoke some other dev to make it bettereriktorbjorn wrote:There haven't been any Kyrandia 2-related changes in SVN for quite some time now, so I guess not.
just don't forget to credit me for "stimulating the development process" afterwards
Not a bad idea! Maybe if I pretend to work on HE 16bit support...clem wrote:geez, I could pretend to do work on it, then get told all my work is rubbish which would probably provoke some other dev to make it bettereriktorbjorn wrote:There haven't been any Kyrandia 2-related changes in SVN for quite some time now, so I guess not.

The CD version has fixed a 'bug' in the grotto layout, so it would be better to buy the CD version and just disable the voices, if you think they are acted badly.
Also the CD version contains an extra music track. (at least for AdLib)
The Floppy version has some different dialogs though, like in the Speech of the Land scene (that's all I remember atm...). Also the credits of the Floppy version should look nicer than of the CD version, since it uses two different fonts (or at least it should)
