does anybody know how how to fix my problem? i have tried compressing the sou to so3 but it didnt even have speech with that. right now i have the normal sou file and there's speech but no music. would really like to play with the bg music.

i have tried with indiana jones and the last crusade. i ripped the audio tracks converted them to .ogg, it plays during the intro screen but while in-game there's no bg music too.

am i doing something wrong or bg music is not supported? im using N73

I don't know anything about the SymbianOS port, but generally speaking...

Sam & Max uses MIDI music (the CD audio tracks are just included as a bonus, they are not used by the game), so there is no specific file that contains the music and nothing else. The music is part of the main data file, which you already have. It can be played through the "Adlib" sound driver as well, but unlike earlier games there is no muchs specifically written for Adlib, so it doesn't sound as nice.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade with CD audio tracks... that has to be the FM-TOWNS version, which I don't have. But if it's like the PC version (which seems likely), it only plays music occasionally, not non-stop: During the intro, while flying to Venice, when arriving in Venice, etc.

hi thanks for reply, but the problem with Sam & Max is that it doesnt even play the bg music...do i have to specifically set adlib as the sound driver in the options menu?

thanks for the heads up on indiana jones, at least now i know it works.

You have the possibility to test that theory. I don't. I don't even know which music drivers are available in the SymbianOS port. ;-)

Normally, I would have guessed that ScummVM would fall back on Adlib by default. But if so, you should be hearing music. ScummVM emulates Adlib, so if you can hear speech you should also be able to hear the music. But you say you don't, and I assume you haven't simply turned down the music volume to zero...

Ogg is the only compression supported, not mp3 or flac. As for BG music,I never had any problems with it on Sam & Max, using the default settings
