Music in game

Post by FlyingArrow »

I've just heard of ScummVM but it sounds great. Anyways I was wondering (this is always my biggest issue with old games) would the sound work on games such as Full Throttle and Day of the Tentacle if you run them through ScummVM? I think there in my closet somewhere and would like to know if the music in them could run on my XP. Thanks.

sure!

and it is even possible to compress the audio to mp3 files so the games occupy only a fraction of space

no worries with ScummVM then - technically it turns the old games into Windows XP software

Ok just one problem. I can never get old games to install on my XP, but I can with my labtop (Windows 98/ME). Will ScummVM convert the games to run on that? Or is it only for XP?

the Win32 ScummVM version is a windows program, so it should run on 98, XP, Vista and so on

for most games you don't need to run the installation program that came with it originally

but then again, why not just try it?
