I can't seem to get music in Monkey Island working?
Sound effects seem to work fine (doors opening etc) but no music. The version of Monkey Island I own comes on a CD with MI2 as well. There aren't any wav files so from what I've read ScummVM should just play the music??
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Can't get music running with Monkey Island NON cd version

Thanks for the reply sev.
Unfortunately I don't have the CD version of the game. The copies I own are from a 'White Label, Virgin' release many moons ago. All I have in the game directory is the monkey application and some IMS(?) files which I take it are related to the games sound as they're called Sounblas.ims, adlib.ims etc.
Am I mistaken or shouldn't scummvm simply be able to play the music in this instance?
In the scummvm readme it says:
'All the floppy games and CD games that didn't have CD audio tracks for music don't require any conversion, and will work unmodified on ScummVM DS.'
This is born out by Monkey Island 2's music playing fine.

I don't have that release myself, but do you mean there are no CD audio tracks on the CD? They wouldn't show up as files, but you should be able to play it as a music CD. I'm not sure what the .ims files are, but ScummVM doesn't use them.gizmo1990 wrote: Unfortunately I don't have the CD version of the game. Monkey Island 2 uses MIDI or Adlib music, which is part of the game data files.gizmo1990 wrote:This is born out by Monkey Island 2's music playing fine.
