No sound in Broken Sword cutscenes

Post by m!ke »

just put scummVM v0.10.0 on my psp and got the dxa cutscenes for broken sword ... works fine in windows, but on my psp theres no sound during the opening cutscenes, but there is sound in the game.

Has anyone used the new dxa cutscenes on their psp??

dxa files are only video, no audio
there should be separate mp3/ogg files for audio as far as I know - are the files there? if they're ogg, does the psp port have support for ogg?

don't have a psp and I'm at work right now (hehe), so these are just educated guesses...

.fla files come in the dxa cutscene download
maybe the psp doesn't support them...

That's correct, the PSP port doesn't support FLAC, which is unfortunately a bit inconvenient in this case.

To get sound you should replace the .fla files from the DXA archive with the .ogg files from the MPEG2 cutscene pack.

It works now :P

Thanks for the help guys, the new video files looks so clear on the psp

This is such a good site, and ScummVM is amazing, lets me play all the games I grew up with - they don't make them like they used to
