Inherit The Earth - Pocket PC version

Post by marzipan »

Did you peeps know about this one? It's possible to extract the files from the setup executable....... and I've noticed it uses a smaller (rebuilt perhaps) voices file. Could this be a form of compression perhaps, or just a reduced library?

Anyhow, I tried to run it through the latest SVN build, and it didn't work.

It will not run, as it requires you to purchase the game. Or you wanted to simply leech it and run for free? ;)

But the PocketPC version included the game itself or just the interpreter?

If includes the game, it can be useful for people that bought the PocketPC version and wanting to be able to run with ScummVM.

It includes FULL game, unencrypted, but game data is modified, so it will not work with Win32 binary or ScummVM.

Man, quick to assume I'm a pirate, eh? =P I just wanted to point something out, simply put. I was intrigued by the smaller Voices file in particular, especially seeing as we haven't managed to implement voice compression support for the original game so far.

We have. Check the latest SVN. SAGA supports compressed sfx, speech and music encoded in MP3/OGG/FLAC now
