has anyone actually tried downgrading 3.51?

common sense tells me that 3.51 was especially designed to not make it work (why else update the firmware?)

don't have a psp, though

more or less, most firmware updates are to 'strengthen security' (bundled with something useless to make it seem worthwhile. 3.51 supposedly has a PS Network icon added (According to Wikipedia), all it says is 'Comming Soon...' though).
