However, that SQ collection only has one ScummVM-playable version (SQ2) and the KQ collection only has two ScummVM-playable versions (KQ2/KQ3).

afaik the sierra re-releases do come with DOSBox though, so you're at least showing them that using open source software for old games is a great idea

Keep in mind that they ship with .63 (several version old) DOSBox. There have been a number of issues that have been fixed in later versions.

Keep in mind that the larry collection sadly isn't the complete collection, it's only the first 5 games...

No, you can use the games with your own DOSBox binary after installing them.

If you go to the Sierra forums you can find a links to the patches to automate this for you. It also replaces the missing files and adds all relevant patches.
