Duplicate files on Feeble Files 2 disc ver

Post by ZiLOG_Z80 »

I'm getting together all the files needed and when copying the files from the second cd there are many duplicated files most of which are identical so only need to keep one copy. However 2 of the duplicated files arent identical on both cd's, one is the voices.wav which is renamed to voices1.wav and voices2.wav respectively, the other is the Allships.smk from cd1 it is 2750kb but from cd2 it is 2826kb. Do I need them both as they arent identical? If so what do I name them?

I don't feel like digging for my disks right now, but you could simply watch the SMK files and look if they are different in content. The Rad video tools contain a player for SMK files.

There are a few fles on both CD's to
prevent the user becoming a disc jockey.

As i said, use the bigger one, dunno what they cut out,
maybe nothing, maybe they just cut some seconds of
black screen from the file...

having finally got around to playing back the files the only noticeable difference between the two files is that the larger one seems slightly garbled at the start like a heavily compressed mpeg so I'm gonna keep the smaler file, thanks for the hint about the player
