yeah - i do so. broken sword one has no problems running correctly. only the second part of this great game by steve purcell.Jonatan wrote:You'll have to try and explain a bit better than that what exactly your problem is.
If you have the cutscene pack, make a "VIDEO" directory in your gamedata folder and point ScummVM's "Exstras path" to that in the settings.
i downloaded the videocut.zip
extracted it to a new folder, named "video" in the folder baphomet2
i think i know my problem. i am ashamed of myself. i´ve forgot to "tell" scummvm
but every other game is running.
no, thats not true. scummvm doesn´t find kyrandia 2, so i can´t add it to the playlist
you know you have to copy the gamefiles straight of the cd to a directory on you hard drive and not just point to the install directory, right? some of the broken sword editions were also compressed so you would need to install them to get all the required files out of the archives. check the readme and datafiles sheet for required gamefiles.

Steve Purcell? I don't think he was involed with the Broken Sword games... or was he?BOT7 wrote: yeah - i do so. broken sword one has no problems running correctly. only the second part of this great game by steve purcell.
So the cutscene problem is solved now, then?BOT7 wrote: i downloaded the videocut.zip

You need the development version of ScummVM to play Kyrandia 2. No stable version supports it yet.BOT7 wrote: no, thats not true. scummvm doesn´t find kyrandia 2, so i can´t add it to the playlist

If you're quite sure you have a recent-enough version of ScummVM, I don't know what the error could be. From what I understand, it should find the CD version if it finds a file called fate.pak with the appropriate checksum. (For other versions or demos of the game, it may look for thanks.cps, general.pak or wscore.pak.)BOT7 wrote: but for kyrandia 2: i have the cd-version AND the daily update of scummvm - but no game is founding, so i can´t add it. or, sad sad sad, play it - i loved this after monkey2 in earlier days
Of course, it needs a lot of other files to actually play, but I believe that should be enough for it to recognize it.
