I don't get the errors when trying to compress Broken Sword

Post by andyd2k »

I'm trying compress the speech / audio files using Scummvm tools. The thing is that I keep getting errors that it can't find my speech or music files even though I'm just currently trying to compress the speech file. Here is my folder structure...

\CLUSTERS
\MUSIC
\SPEECH
\VIDEO
compress_sword1
lame.exe

speech files renamed to speech1 and speech2

Also, it's very unclear whether I'm supposed to set up a video folder with the re-encoded video like the above. Seeing that there isn't even one on the original cds

EDIT: I see now that there is a parameter to set the program to only do speech or music files but it still doesn't find any of my files

speech files have to be named speech1.CLU and speech2.CLU

to compress from the folder compress_sword1 is in, the command would be:

"compress_sword1 .speech\"

if I find time I'll check with my BS1 CDs.

as for the re-encoded video files, you can put them wherever you like, you just need to point ScummVM to that folder by setting the "extra path" in the GUI.

I figured it out - I needed to a "." at the end. Noticed in the help info.

Appreciate the help!
