It's not in the official scummvm because it is not finished yet there are still quite a few known bugs in it.

Actually, the real reason is that at the time we released the last official version, 0.12.0, the discworld engine was not yet ready. But it will be in the next ScummVM release, maybe even with Discworld 2 support.

Ah right I just assumed it wasn't added because of the bugs on the wiki todo list.

@fingolfin:

When will the next stable version be released?

It would be nice if Discworld 2 support could be included (if it doesn't delay the next version by months).

I certainly look forward to Discworld support in the next official release :)

No one knows for sure. 0.10.0, 0.11.0 and 0.12.0 were released about seven months apart, and 0.12.0 was released just over two months ago, so five months from now could be a realistic guess. But it's still only a guess.

There may be a 0.12.1 long before that, but it's very unlikely that it would support Discworld. Minor releases are generally for bugfixes only.
