Engines - Not in SVN
Sorry if this question has been asked, but is there any engines that are not in the SVN that people are working on besides Teen Agent
Thanks in advance,
Bill

I've been thinking about rewriting a game engine (Whether it's for scummvm or outside scummvm).
So I've come to the conclusion in my head, why start something that someone else is already doing?
So if their is an engine that has stalled or someone doesn't have time, I'm more then willing to help, or even any ideas for a game engine. But it take some time to get the original game if i don't have it.

It's weird why you say that, because in very this forum, just 4 posts down there is this thread.Strangerke wrote:And not in the SVN nor in the Wiki At least, now we know

Well, yes and no... Nothing told on this thread is really implying that serious reverse already begun : the compression method is easy to determine (in one game, it's even ZIP files), the logic is clearly in the EXE... Nothing was revealed in fact All the rest is discussion concerning the copyright issues... Am I wrong ?

I was thinking possibly about Hugo I - III
http://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php ... light=hugo
But...
HUGO (in general)
logic is hard coded.
HUGO I
graphics are just PCX files (*.ART and *.PIC). Don't know what the *.o and *.ob files are. the the *.fon is the fonts used.
HUGO II
Not quite sure about any besides tmsrb.fon which is the font
HUGO III
Not quite sure about any besides tmsrb.fon which is the font
HUGO II and III seam to have a similar engine
OR
Waynes World (Capstone)
Because it relies so much on a variants of the Genus Microprogramming Toolkits.
Such as the GXL files are a variant of Genus Microprogramming, Inc's PCL format. Kind of like a library of PCX files. The PCL can easily be made using their pcxtools
But
There are no scripts. All logic based stuff is compiled in.
