Hi again, got a another question.
Is there any way to reduce the size of the DXA files used by Broken Sword 1 & 2?
I thought maybe I'd try encoding the SMK to DXA files myself, but I don't know if the only thing I could reduce size wise is the accompanying audio files.
Is there a parameter in the "encode_dxa" tool that allows me to reduce the size of the DXA files themselves?
I don't mind a video quality reduction, because the attempting goal is as little video & audio stutter as possible.
DXA file size reduction?

No, unless somebody will come with even more clever compression method. In fact, DXA is already more efficient than SMK and resulting files are smaller than originals.Stryfe wrote:Is there a parameter in the "encode_dxa" tool that allows me to reduce the size of the DXA files themselves?

There's a few things that can be done to reduce video and audio stutter but you won't eliminate it entirely, the Dreamcast would probably perform better with cutscenes if both the video and audio data was within one file, but consider yourself lucky the game plays at all.Stryfe wrote:Hi again, got a another question.

Have you considered posting links so the ScummVM team can see all the great work you're doing?.
