What's up with the GSOC Game script decompiler?

Post by OmerMor »

I was following Michal Janeczek's progress this summer, but he stopped updating for over a month now.
I tried his GSOC blog and apparently it was removed.
I also checked the GSOC list of projects and it seems as if this project never existed.

Can you please explain what happened?

I think that was the only project that failed the mid-summer evaluations and hence was removed.

That's unfortunate.
I was really hoping for a decent script decompiler.

Note: We removed nothing, it seems kjdf removed his blog on his own. Unfortunate, I must say, as his postings contained some helpful information.

The decompiler is still in our SVN, too, and has some promising starts. Kjdf said that he might continue working on it anyway, and for a few days did that, too, but since then vanished completely :/.

That's our second failed decompiler attempt now, sadly. If somebody wants to help pick it up, contact us.

My Google Reader is still caching his posts.
I can re-post them here if there's interest.

It could be interesting if you save them as a pdf, ps, odf or html file :)
