After much playing I found out that if you press and hold the "search" button and click on screen, it will then bring up the inventory, thus fixing the need for an OSK.

After being immensely excited at the prospect of playing this game on my new HTC Hero I was hugely dissapointed when I got to the junk yard section and I had to use the lock pick to unlock the padlock to get the gas.
After much playing I found out that if you press and hold the "search" button and click on screen, it will then bring up the inventory, thus fixing the need for an OSK.
