Toggle softkeyboard

I looked all over the forum and couldn't find an answer to the simple question:
I want to play Monkey Island 2. In order to bypass the copy-protection I use the softkeyboard that automatically appears when I am starting the game (regardless of whether I chose fullscreen or not). After that, I want to play the game on full screen, without the softkeyboard blocking more than half my screen. How do I turn it off?!

This is driving me bananas

Please help.

Turn the iPhone 90 degrees and the keyboard disappears and you have fullscreen?
