Copying Saved Games Wont Work :(

Hi all, hopeing someone can help, i bought the broken sword trilogy cd about a month ago and i had to reformat my laptop last week.

Before i reformatted my laptop i copied the last saved broken sword game, when i reinstalled broken sword i put the saved game file back into the saves folder for broken sword but for some reason it is not shown in the game and therefore i can not play where i last saved.

What should i do as i do not want to have to start from the Beginin again

-What version of ScummVM were you using before and what version are you using now?
-What directory exactly did you copy the saves from and what directory exactly did you put them back in?
-What are the exact names of the save files?

The scumm program came with the CD, i also have scumm on my nokia 5800 but not using that for broken sword.
I copied the saved game from the "saves" file and did not rename or do anything to it, and but it back into the same folder when i reinstalled the game. What should i do?

Where exactly was this 'saves' directory and how exactly are the savegame files called?
