Get ScummVM version silently?

Is there a way to retrieve the version of ScummVM silently and get it to write to a log file? You can get the version of DOSBox with "dosbox -noconsole -version", which opens no window and writes it to stdout.txt. As far as I am aware of, it is not possible to even suppress the console window, at least not any way that I can find in the documentation.
