Any ubuntu repository of svn builds?
I'm lazy, internet quota challenged, and like un-installing things later.

If you have to be careful with the amount you download wouldn't you be better off compiling your own build?
A quick explanation just in case you have no experience with compiling - Some people compile by downloading the required folder (trunk) each time they want to compile a new build. But there are applications you can use with which you can just update the trunk folder and all it's contents. A smaller download then.
Compiling in Linux / Ubuntu is very easy and you can ask here if you have any problems.
Bobdevis made a nice guide in this thread. Last post.

I made a post on the Residual forum which should help as well.

You are correct here. That's why we recently added tooltips to our GUI, and there is a hint about Mass Add given.Serious Callers Only wrote:I'm a 90's child. Reading the readme is asking too much, and a modifier key without any indication (in fact a modifier key at all) is a accessibility problem.

I'm ranting but:
Imagine you've never heard of scummvm before, learned of this program to play your old adventures on modern systems.
Downloaded, installed and it seems pretty obvious, you start using it immediately.
You loose a little time adding the games one by one, but, hey, no VISIBLE alternative right? And you know how those open source developers are about accessibility, you forget about it. Until you learn of it much much much later. Then you might think of why there is even an alternate mode. If you think a little bit you might realize that there were differences in the mass add method. It didn't ask you to configure the games specifically, and it found alternate versions that don't run of the games.
But you'll mostly be a little disappointed at wasting time setting up at the first.

You being willfully ignorant is neither our fault nor our problem.Serious Callers Only wrote:I'm a 90's child. Reading the readme is asking too much
