KQ5 Alternate Music Tracks

Post by MusicallyInspired »

Video I made today to show the differences between the DOS and Windows music tracks in King's Quest 5. Thought it might be of some interest to some others here.

IMO, this sounds like just AdLib vs. GM. Have you tried setting the driver to a GM one?

No, I'm not even talking about the instruments used. The actual notes are different. Listen carefully.

Probably at the composer's preference. Mark Seibert wrote these themes and he did mention somewhere in an interview or something about changing around a couple of themes when they ported it to Windows for the CD version. I can't remember for the life of me the source, though.
