Subtitles' speed - Beneath a Steel Sky

My first post here, so firstly hello to everybody

I can't change the speed of subtitles in BASS. Settings in menu doesn't work and also + and - keys in game. Is the speed changeable in BASS?

The speed of the subtitles depends on
1) the voice speed and
2) the game speed (in that order)

Which means that if youhave speech and subtitles on, subtitles will stay until the spoken line has been finished.

If you only use subtitles you can change the speed if you change the overall game speed.

If you have set the game speed to fastest possible AND use speech/subtitles the subtitles will STILL stay on screen until the spoken line has been finished.

That's how i understand it, matches the original, i think

Thanks for your answer. I'd not like to play without sound-speech or change the game speed so there's no option for me i guess. But i tried to turn speech off just for testing purposes and still couldn't change the speed... but it doesn't matter (for me) now because I've almost finished the game yet
